F150 air conditioner not blowing

2009 - 2014 Ford F150 - AC not blowing! - I recently had an issue with my AC. On two occasions I start the truck and the AC does not turn on. The controls show that it is on but the fan does not blow. After getting to my destination and allowing the truck to sit a few hours, it works again!

There are 3 parts on the front of the compressor: 1. the pulley- bearing could have gave up and caused overheating. 2. the field coil - if it fails the clutch will not engage (no overheating problems, but the most common failure.
