Bridge mode on xfinity router

The gateway is port forwarding to the router, and the router is port forwarding to the device on my network that needs the port forward. The latter port forward works as I mentioned in my OP. Only one device connects with the gateway, and that is the router. Put the xfinity modem in bridge mode.
