A friend was 3cm dilated at 35 weeks and ended up having to be induced at 39 and change. (Inducing has nothing to do with dilating, she had IUGR) I was “maybe 1cm” dilated at 37+6 and went into labor at 38. After 12 hours being induced on Pictocin, "I was only 1cm dilated!"
